Origins in clay

When I was four years old I put my foot in a small trickle of grey goo flowing from the Athabasca Glacier …my shoe was lost forever but my love affair with clay had just begun. I am drawn to the organic nature of clay, the way it feels in my hands and its’ earthy smell. The art of ceramics is over 16 thousand years old and this both inspires and humbles me. Many of my pieces reflect the curves, lines and textures found in nature. I enjoy making non-traditional works both functional and decorative.
